There are many beautiful old palaces situated along Venice's Grand Canal.  The two buildings in this photograph are Palazzo Cavalli-Franchetti and Palazzo Barbaro.  They are located near the Accademia Bridge.  The best way to see many of the great Venetian palaces is to take a vaporetti (public transit boat) along the canal.
