The Cannaregio District is located in the northwest region of Venice Italy. It is one of the six sestieri that make up the city of Venice.
Although Cannaregio is a long walk from Venice's top tourist attractions and landmarks, it offers less expensive hotel accommodations than can be found in more central areas. Cannaregio is also located close to Venice's central train station (Stazione Ferroviaria Santa Lucia).
